Old Cart to New Island

I saw this the other day and thought it was a really great idea … Michelle Minner ("Blue Roof Cabin" blogger) found an old industrial cart that was in desperate need of being turned into something else. A really good cleaning and a work surface topped in oak – and voila! – a stunning and useful kitchen island was created.

     The author offered the many positive design benefits of a portable kitchen island including style, convenience and organization in addition to variety and creativity in where you can put it.

     A portable kitchen island or cart is a highly effective addition to any kitchen, even If you already have a permanent island. Having additional storage and workspace with the added benefit of mobility is a definite plus for any kitchen.
